Job descripton

As a System Design Engineer at MERPHI, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of cutting-edge systems. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and contribute to the creation of robust and scalable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a challenging and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Main technical contact for the area/system
  • Technical ownership for the design, requirements, interfaces & quality assurance within the area/system
  • Lead cross functional development work within the area/system
  • Drive and deliver development of Technical Road Map and communicate it to concerned parties
  • Secure Concept Investigation and Technical Development and take the Concept for approval through different decision forums (i.e., QDCF)
  • Secure Knowledge Management within the area/system through guidelines, area/system meetings, benchmarking, on-going initiatives, customer feedback etc.
  • Secure Technical Knowledge in Pre- & Feasibility Studies and secure the Concept Development within their area, contact other areas if impacted.
  • Secure analysis of Start Cost Project Prerequisites and give input for Project Technical Descriptio


  • Minimum 4 years of working experience as a System Design Engineer
  • BSc or MSc degree in electrical/software engineering or equivalent is highly valuable as well as previous experience of System Design /Architect roles
  • Previous experience and network from GTT or VBC are considered as meritorious
  • You have a basic understanding of Driver Interaction system and vehicle domain knowledge and CAN signaling & basic diagnostics knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Develop Product (DP) process and other relevant processes within the group
  • Expert communication and networking skills
  • Good leadership and planning skillsVery good skills in driving Technology Development
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • The work requires skills in both teamwork and individual work, autonomy, and the ability to work in a team are key
  • Open-minded and proactive, structured and a drive to take the lead is an advantage
